Latin American Businesses Use Advanced Portal Technology to Compete in Today's Real-Time Economy

(June 18, 2002) - Mongoose Technology, Inc., a leading U.S. enterprise portal solution vendor, recently launched Mongoose PortalStudio 3.0 in Latin America as leading systems integrators from Latin America presented advanced online solutions for doing business in the real-time economy.

Over 150 business and IT managers were on hand as systems integrator partners including Gedetec, Grey Interactive Mexico, Hildebrando, Meta Data, OmniSys, and Teysa demonstrated real-time business solutions built with Mongoose PortalStudio. Solutions included enterprise application integration (EAI) for an online retailer, Knowledge Management and Collaboration for a group of Energy Companies, a corporate information portal for a large financial institution, and a real-time executive dashboard. "With Mongoose PortalStudio, our customers can integrate their existing corporate applications to make important information immediately accessible via a personalized portal on their desktop or wireless device." said Alejandro López Kolkovsky of Gedetec. "Latin Businesses must adopt this technology to stay competitive in today's real-time economy."

Mongoose PortalStudio includes an integrated development environment to design, assemble, deploy and manage enterprise portals and Web services; the PortalStudio Library of reusable portlets, connectors, skins, and collaborative Web services; and the PortalStudio Framework, a vendor-neutral portal run-time platform for integrating applications on any leading J2EE Web server. Mongoose PortalStudio 3.0 adds new application integration and Web services capabilities to enhance integration and access to critical IT resources. New collaborative Web services enhance employee productivity, customer experience, and partner interaction; and enable business process automation with real-time monitoring and alarms.
